Full Rank (?)

The column rank of a matrix \mathrm A is the maximal number of linearly independent columns of \mathrm A . Likewise, the row rank of a matrix \mathrm A is the maximal number of linearly independent rows of \mathrm A .

A matrix that has a rank as large as possible is said to have…full rank.

Don’t worry! We’ll get to all of this in due time. A blog does need a catchy name, after all!
