Full Rank (?)

The column rank of a matrix $\mathrm A$ is the maximal number of linearly independent columns of $\mathrm A$. Likewise, the row rank of a matrix $\mathrm A$ is the maximal number of linearly independent rows of $\mathrm A$.

A matrix that has a rank as large as possible is said to have…full rank.

Don’t worry! We’ll get to all of this in due time. A blog does need a catchy name, after all!
